She is the creator of at least 54 novels & 188 short stories, the kids's picture book (Creature Castle) & numbers of verse form. She has too written scripts for the BBC science fiction series ''Blake's Seven.

A girl of ii ballroom dancers, Lee worked as the file clerk, an assistant bibliothec, the shop assistant & the waitress prior to becoming a to the full instance writer. Her foremost short story, Eustace, was published inside 1968. Her 1st novel (for tikes) was A Dragon Hoard'', published within 1971.

Lee married creator John Kaiine in 1992.
